Dear Pat ..
I would just like to take this opportunity to 'Thank You so Much' for Teaching my daughter Jodie how to drive and managing to get her to pass on her test 1st time.
I would like to contribute a small piece on behalf of Jodie for your web site. She would do it herself if she wasn't so busy in driving all round the country, we hardly ever see her since she passed on the 23rd June.
.
My daughter Jodie contacted Pat and decided that she would pay for the intensive courses this way she would have made a commitment to seeing learning to drive through. So she arranged her first lesson and embarked on a whole new learning curve 'Learning to Drive'. I have to say we do not live in Stevenage so Jodie travelled to Stevenage via the train to have her lessons, as we had heard that Pat was a very good Instructor.
She would have blocks of driving for 3 hours at a time, they were frequent so she maintained continuity in what she had learned from the previous lesson. This appeared to be beneficial to her as she can lapse and be forgetful on the whole. However, this is obviously selective as she never forgot a lesson that she had booked and always left in plenty of time to get the train to Stevenage. She managed and coordinated her lessons frequency etc, which again isn't the norm for her. She would also complete the questionnaire's ( homework ) that Pat would give her on a weekly basis, to brush up on her theory . As she is 17 years old, her priorities in life are meeting up with her friend and going out However, she was committed to learning to drive. Jodie had purchased a 30hour tuition course and then had a further 5. In total she had .3.5 hours of tuition, during which time Pat had arranged the theory test, which she past first time.
Which then led to her taking her Driving Test, which she passed 1st time. I can only Admire you Pat, as I believe that she would not have been the easiest person to teach. As with all/ most teenagers they think they Know Best! But what ever it was or however you did it, I Thank You..
Jodie had already got a car, in anticipation of Passing her Test. We then had to Do all the necessary Car Tax & Insurance. Which brings me to Jodie completing the Pass Plus Course with Pat. As the first quote for her as a 17year old girl who is diabetic with no no claims, was 1668.00 Fully Comp.
However, if she agreed to complete the Pass Plus Course the yearly premium would be £986.00 Fully Comp. so the benefit of completing this was a saving of around nearly £700.00 which is 'Fantastic'.
So I would just like to reiterate Thank You So So Much, I would / can & will recommend your driving school to many others...
